Las Vegas, Nevada - (The Hosting News) - Friday 12th of March 2010 - Shared, reseller, colocated, dedicated and VPS hosting solutions firm, ServerPoint, has added a new gigabit uplink from XO Communications, providing additional network redundancy and capacity for its Las Vegas, Nevada data center facility.
Erik Johnson, CTO of ServerPoint noted, ''XO has a very large network that peers with every other major provider, in addition to having the largest IP capacity in Las Vegas. The addition of the new connection provides ServerPoint with new routes for data entering and leaving its network, allowing many visitors to connect to hosted sites at lower latency. With the added redundancy the connection provides, ServerPoint can also minimize the chance of any possible network downtime. ServerPoint hopes to increase its network capacity to 8-10 gigabits within a year.
